Niagara falls situated in US, has been a tourist destination since years for explorers and daredevils! These were discovered by the French explorer Father Louis Hennepin in December 1678.
In Niagara only, Nikola Tesla, brought about the concept of alternating current! It was also the origin of commercial hydroelectricity!!
Niagara falls constitute of three water falls: American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls.
The Falls are believed to be about 12,000 years old. . When the flow of these falls is on the peak in summers, over 700,000 gallons of water are poured over the Niagara falls. Amazingly, 20% of drinking
water of United States goes over these falls.
The first person to go over the Falls in a barrel was 63-year-old school teacher Annie Edson Taylor.
